Our School
P233Q has a student population with over 560 students, including 147 English Language Learners (ELLs) in grades K-12, ranging in age from 4 to 22 years. Our students attend one of ten sites across the borough of Queens. Eight of these sites are in community schools, and two are located in self-contained buildings. Among the 10 sites, three are high schools, four are middle schools, and three are elementary schools. Two of our high schools offer inclusion programs.
We take pride in our diverse student body, which encompasses various class ratios, including 12:1:4, 12:1:1, 6:1:1, 8:1:1, and inclusion settings. Our students have different classifications, such as autism, intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities, social-emotional disabilities, speech and language impairments, and sensory impairments.

Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Families,
On behalf of the staff at 233Q, I am happy to welcome you to the 2025-26 school year! We are looking forward to partnering with you to ensure our children can achieve their highest potential. We recognize that to be successful, our children need support from both home and school. This is accomplished through regular, open communication.
Our theme for this year is: Promoting Excellence Through Determination And Hard work. We ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that they attend school daily, arrive on time, arrive ready for the day’s learning experiences, and complete all assignments given by their teacher.
Lastly, we believe strongly that all students learn best in a respectful, supportive environment where they take ownership of their work, always feel safe and there is a shared responsibility for success. The students know this as ROAR. We encourage you to speak with your child and your child’s teacher about their personal goals in each area.
We are looking forward to a productive, safe school year filled with exciting learning experiences
Sincerely,
Ms. Debbie Edmonds, Principal
